***Man Arrested for Stealing Human Skin***

I know, I know, this isn't NH. But it is definitely something that makes you go...wtf?

At first glance Gary Dudek looks like an ordinary man. He had a good job working for Organogenesis. He was a sales rep at the Massachusetts based company. Their primary business is organ and tissue regeneration. Dudek worked out of Mercy Hospital which is located in Philadelphia. He was the primary sales rep at the hospital for Organogenesis. He was in charge of all of the sales accounts for the hospital and was also in charge of the tissue supply to Mercy.

Recently Dudek was arrested after he was seen carrying skin samples to his car and taking off with them. After an investigation they had found that he was using his position as a sales rep to get more and more skin. They found that he had stolen 200 units of the skin grafts. Each of those units was valued at $1,700 bringing his total to almost $350,000.

The skin still has not been found. Did they check his basement? Is he building a person in his home? Where did all of that skin go?!

The investigators believe that Dudek was making it look like the hospital was buying the grafts out of need. Most of the purchases were unauthorized and the hospital never received the grafts. They suspect that he did this to pocket the commission that he would get per sale. Dudek's attorney does not feel that criminal charges are warranted in this case as before this was revealed Dudek had been a loyal and hardworking employee. He said that if the hospital had suffered losses than perhaps they should bring a civil suit against him, but not a criminal one.

I would say that making hundreds of thousands of dollars in unauthorized purchases and then disposing of skin grafts that could be put to such good use is a criminal matter!

***Follow Up on Home Invasion/Shooting on Belmont Street***

The two men who were arrested on May 27th after a home invasion and shooting were given $100,000 bail cash/surety. The shooting happened at 499 Belmont Street on Tuesday morning. The victim was only grazed on the neck by the bullet and is recovering. After police were dispatched they were involved in a foot chase with Jason Kenyon, age 32, and Jason Candelario, age 25. The two were seen by witnesses swapping clothes in a backyard and then continued running. Kenyon was taken down at gunpoint with a taser. Candelario was taken down a short time later. The pile of clothing along with the handguns used in the incident were found minutes later thanks to another alert Manchester witness.

It comes as no surprise that both of these upstanding citizens have a very lengthy criminal record. Candelario was on parole (shocker). The home invasion victim said that he closed and locked the slider door as soon as he saw that Kenyon had a gun but Kenyon shot at the door lock. He told them to give him everything that they had. His accomplice busted in to the home seconds later. A call to 911 was made but they could not say anything with the two men in the house. The operators were hearing screaming and yelling and multiple units were dispatched immediately. Both men were seen with guns in their hands.

The victim's 18 year old brother was upstairs sleeping and had been awakened by all of the commotion. He came down with a gun and began firing warning shots when he saw what was going on. He was grazed by a bullet that came from the gun of Kenyon.

Kenyon was arraigned on seven different felony charges which include:

- Felon who was in possession of a lethal weapon
- Armed Robbery
- First degree assault
- Criminal Threatening
- Burglary
- Reckless Conduct
- Falsifying evidence

Candelario had plead not guilty to charges of misdemeanor resisting arrest. He was arraigned on the following charges:

- Felon who was in possession of a lethal weapon
- Armed career criminal (his mother must be so proud of his career path)
- Burglary
- Armed robbery
- Falsifying evidence

Sounds like these two are going to be enjoying a lengthy stay in a state prison...

***Body Found in Pinardville***

The body of a man who looks to be approximately 45 years old has been found on the rail trail in Goffstown/Pinardville behind the Shaw's Plaza. A portion of Moose Club Park Road had been shut down while they waited for the medical examiner to arrive at the scene. At this time they do not believe that there was any foul play. They are not releasing the identity of the man until the family has been notified. Two hikers made the horrifying discovery around 4:15pm.

In other news:

A traffic stop near Bridge and Mammoth turned into an arrest for Manchester Police. The driver, 23 year old Jariel Lafontaine, was arrested at the scene of the stop for being in possession of cocaine, marijuana, and a digital scale. He also had a loaded stolen handgun in his possession.

The medical records of Bob and Connie Dion have been released and showed that the couple had been strangled with wire five days before they were found. Their bodies had been found after an explosion and house fire on Mooresville Road. Their son, Matthew Dion, is a person of interest. He is still missing as is his white Nissan Altima.

***ANNOUNCEMENT***

We did it! 10,000 fans in just under four months!! That is crazy! What started as me posting big scanner happenings on my personal page has turned into something huge and it is awesome.

So what is this big announcement you may ask? Well, it is nothing that is super huge, but is definitely going to come in handy when I am on vacation or away from the computer. It is going to continue to grow as things progress and will get bigger and better as we go along.

I know, I know, just get to the announcement already right?

www.manchvegasalerts.com

That's right people, we have a website! Now, the great thing (and the biggest tool) about this site is that if you click on the Scanner Alerts link at the top of the page you will see our Twitter feed. Since Facebook is horrid and will not let me add admins, this is how this will work. I will have a few admins set up so that they can post updates to the Twitter feed while I am away. Even if you don't have Twitter, you will still be able to see all of the updates as they come through. Granted there won't be any comments, or likes or anything, but there is a nice little chat box next to the feed where you can discuss hot topics if you feel like it. Keep it clean and civil people!!

There are three emails that are connected with the website or you can use the contact me form.

info@manchvegasalerts.com - anything you want to know about the site or page itself

photos@manchvegasalerts.com - If you have photos of an incident that was reported to share, send them here!

news@manchvegasalerts.com - Any general alerts or any big news stories that we have missed (please make sure it is verified news, nothing that you think may be happening or that someone told someone else)

While I am gone at the end of June my admins will be posting when they are available so that there are still alerts for the week that I will be offline. This way you can still get your fix while I am not around :)

Thank you to everyone who has made this page as huge as it is!

***Elliot Hospital Data Breach***

Four laptop computers were stolen from an employee's car in March. They are now just notifying people. The employee was moving the laptops to a place where they were set to be destroyed. The computers had been scrubbed before they were sent to be destroyed so there was not a lot of information on them. The computers did have emails and spreadsheets that automatically archived that had some patient information on them. There were a little over 1,200 patients who had info on the computer documents.

A spokesperson from the Elliot stated that the only things that were on the documents were patient names, when they had services performed at the Elliot, and billing codes for those services. He stated that there is really nothing to worry about but understands that patients will be upset. They are sending out letters to everyone that was affected by the breach. They are in the processes of setting up a toll-free number that patients can call if they have any questions about the safety of their data or the breach itself.

The Elliot has taken steps to ensure that it's computers do not auto archive documents any longer.

Many companies have policies in place when dealing with work laptops that state that you are not supposed to leave the computer in your car for any reason. There can be a lot of classified information on these computers and with the way people are these days, if they see that there is a computer in the car, they will steal it. Keep your car locked at all times and if you have a computer for work in your car, take it out and bring it with you or bring it home first before you go to run personal errands.

***Pentagon Has Plans For Zombie Attack***

Yes, you read that title correctly. The Pentagon has plans on paper to ward off a zombie attack. Crazy right?

We need to be prepared for whatever comes our way. We need to be ready for whatever we come up against. In the plans laid out by the Pentagon, that apparently includes the undead. The plan is elaborate, well thought out, and addresses exactly how to "kill" a zombie.

The document is called CONOP 8888. It is not a classified document for the simple reason that it's not necessarily a real plan. It is a plan that is made to help train the military to deal with any situation that may come their way from natural disasters all the way to zombie attacks. Even though it is not an actual plan for the U.S. Strategic Forces it is still laid out just like it is a real plan.

The Pentagon wanted to think of the most ridiculous situation that they could for a training exercise and since zombies are a large topic these days they went with that. Should the walking dead be wandering around through the country the military will know how to defend civilians that are still living. The training manual explains how to assess the situation, how to protect yourself and others, and how to remain vigilant through treacherous conditions.

To kill a zombie according to CONOP 8888 is to concentrate all firepower to the head of the zombie and then burn the body. Sounds like something out of the Walking Dead doesn't it?

Every position is mapped out clearly. They have the President all the way down to civilians listed and what their different roles would be when defending against the zombies.

The Department of Homeland Security as well as the CDC have used the living dead as training situations as well. The ridiculousness of the situation makes it great for training as we never know what could happen, even if it is as crazy as a zombie attack.
