***Daily Breakdown 03/24/2014***

Good morning all! I hope you all had a great weekend, I know I did!

WEATHER: Today we will be looking at a high of 30 degrees and partly cloudy skies through the day. I know we are all anxious about the looming storm ahead for tomorrow night. So far they are predicting that we are going to be hit with 3-5 inches of snow and VERY windy conditions. This all depends on how the storm shifts. If it moves more towards the East we will get less snow and wind, if it shifts to the West we will be hit with a lot worse. They are still unsure of its path at this point.

TRAFFIC: Traffic is looking great on all major roadways this morning.

HEADLINES: Longhorn Steakhouse was closed this weekend after an incident with smoke detectors and the sprinkler system. I do have an inside source that spoke directly with the manager, the system was broken by the inspector while he was in there, this was not an issue on Longhorn's part.

A $160 million budget was announced this weekend for the Manchester school system. This is $3.3 million higher than last year. The money will be used to add full-time kindergarten teachers to elementary schools, reduce the class sizes in some schools, new technology in the classrooms, and 10 new school buses.

A 82 year old woman and her 92 year old passenger were critically injured in a car accident on the corner of Orange and Chestnut on Saturday. The 82 year old ran a stop sign and collided head on with another car. The passengers of the car that she hit did not need transport to the hospital.

Charmin has donated a year's supply of toilet paper to the Manchester Fire Department. Don't squeeze the Charmin!

SPORTS: The Bruins extended their winning streak to 12 games with a 4-2 win over the Coyotes on Saturday. The Red Sox fell 6-3 to Atlanta on Saturday and 9-2 to Tampa on Sunday. Tonight they face the Orioles. The Manchester Monarchs defeated the Hershey Bears on Sunday 2-1.

  1. How do you take exact wording and writing from the Union Leader and not give credit to where it is coming from. Example the school budget was ONLY reported in the UL and not in a press release yet you take it work for word from the UL. That is 100% plagiarism which will result in a law suit.

  2. I had posted the link at the bottom of the page. Apparently it did not post, possibly because it was over written by the photo. Thank you for letting me know.
