***Operation Warm - Manchester Fire Department***

Too many children go without a warm winter coat during the harsh winter months. Many families cannot afford to buy their children nice coats to keep them warm. This is where the Manchester Fire Department and many local businesses come in!

Operation Warm was founded in 2002. Their mission is to clothe children during the winter months that would otherwise be going without. They find that many children that have no warm clothes tend to be absent from school more than others which deprives them of a very important education. Unfortunately for many families that are living in the poverty level a place to live with heat and food takes precedence over new clothes.

With help from community partners in 49 states and wonderful donors Operation Warm is able to give 300,000 children a year new coats.

So where do you come in? How can you help?

"From now through the month of October anyone who donates the value of 1 new coat or more ($34) will be entered into a drawing for a private pizza party and tour of MFD Headquarters for up to 10 people! Donations will also be accepted soon at area business including the Pint public house on Elm st! "
