***More Arrests for Laurel Street Fight***

Two more men were arrested in connection with the large fight that happened on Laurel Street on Sunday night.

Darrius Weekly, 20, of 219 Notre Dame and Hector Velez Sr of 269 Central Street both turned themselves in at the police station last night.

Weekly is charged with one count of riot and one count of second degree assault.

Velez is charged with one count of riot.

Velez Sr show up to the fight to help his son, Hector Velez Jr. who was arrested Sunday night. Velez said that his son and David Weekly, Darrius Weekly's brother, were in a fight that escalated quickly.

Darrius Weekly struck Brian Colon of Manchester but Colon refused medical treatment.

Manchester PD said that it took almost 20 officers and half an hour to stop the fight so that they could start asking people questions.

This makes 4 in custody so far, more arrests may still be pending.

  1. I hardlyy think that being at the scene suggests that you have commited a crime. This was a poor judgement call by the parent for bringing his child with a bat, and now b/c Mr.Velez senior was a former Nh "whom ever" im reading all these comments about he was this and he was that. Well what about the kid who was beaten with the bat that was running down laurel, with his head cracked open, or the other kid whos arm is broken? This was not about a dang text book, drugs or gangs.
