I am writing to inform you about the evacuation that took place at Manchester High School West on Monday, March 10th. Late in the day, administration received an anonymous threat against the school. This threat was not specific, other than noting the time of day. Because student safety is our top priority, we believed it prudent to practice our District Safety Plan and evacuate the building. After clearing the building and assessing the situation with the Manchester Police Department the building was deemed safe and the students returned to class. We apologize for the interruption to learning and are investigating the threat in hopes of ensuring such an incident does not occur again.
