***Morning Breakdown Sunday, February 23rd***

Good morning everyone! Not as bright and sunny as it was yesterday. :(

WEATHER: Today we will see a high of 45 degrees with a 30% chance of rain/snow showers. Be prepared as we dip back into that snot freezing cold weather that we all love so much later this week.

TRAFFIC: Traffic is moving well on all major highways. Route 3A (here's a shocker) is slow from Hooksett through Manchester. This is most likely due to Bass Pro Shops and their insane customer overload.

HEADLINES: The Bates College student from Rye who was missing in Italy was found dead in a train tunnel. Officials believe that he had been run over by a train. Sierre-Leone uncovered a 153 carat diamond that is worth a cool $6 million. A Long Island mall had a deadly carbon monoxide leak that left a 55 year old man dead and 28 injured.

SPORTS: The Olympics closing ceremonies begin today. Russia has 33 medals, USA has 28, and Norway has 26. A NH skiier is bringing home a gold, Bode Miller sustained an injury after his bronze medal win. Monarchs beat the Portland Pirates in a thriller 5-4.

There are no road closures reported at this time for construction or any events other than the Monarchs game today which is at 3pm. Watch out for police in the intersection of Elm where the Verizon is before the game and be aware that the block will be shut down after the game, around 5:30-6pm.

Interesting NH fact of the day: In 2009 the world's largest cupcake was built by Ryan Abood from Gourmet Gifts in Manchester. The cupcake weighed in at an impressive 1,224 pounds, took 12 hours to bake, and used over 800 eggs. It contained 2,000,000 calories. Hello diabetes!
