***Morning Breakdown Monday, February 24th***

Good morning everyone! I know...oxymoron considering it's Monday

WEATHER: Today we will see some chillier weather as a cold front moves in for the week. We will have a high of 30 degrees with scattered flurries throughout the day.

TRAFFIC: Traffic is moving at a normal pace on all major highways. Route 3A is slow going (again).

HEADLINES: Police in Belmont are searching for suspects involved in a double stabbing. A Merrimack home was heavily damaged by smoke and fire on the DW Highway. The oldest known Holocaust survivor died this weekend at the age of 110.

SPORTS: The Olympics are finally over, now we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming at night!! Monarchs beat the Worcester Sharks 4-2 in an exciting game full of hard hits, blood, and sweat. Earnhardt Jr wins the Daytona 500.

No road closures due to construction or other projects have been noted.

This day in history: President Andrew Johnson was impeached in 1868. Princess Diana and Prince Charles announced their engagement in 1981.

Fun fact of the day:  First settled in 1722, Manchester began as a farming community known as Derryfield until being renamed Manchester in 1810. Its new name was based on Samuel Blodgett's efforts to facilitate a trade route from Boston to Concord by opening a canal and lock system to allow vessels passage around the Amoskeag Falls. **
