***Update on Motorcycle Accident on 293 North***

Two people were seriously injured in an accident this morning on 293 North. Both were Massachusetts residents. Lonnie Puglia, 51, was the driver of the motorcycle. His passenger was 49 year old Sandra Randall.

Randall was taken to the CMC with serious injuries. Puglia was brought to CMC and then medflighted to Tufts in Boston. At the scene they stated that he was in respiratory arrest. Both of the riders fortunately were wearing their helmets.

There were no other vehicles involved in the accident. Puglia drifted from the left lane off the side of the road where the bike crashed into the grassy median just North of Exit 5.

We wish them a speedy recovery.

Just as a reminder, with the warmer weather, motorcycles are out in full force. This week is especially heinous due to Bike Week in Laconia. Please watch for motorcycles and check your blindspots often. Use extreme caution when you are switching lanes on the highway.  Motorcyclists, please do not weave in and out of traffic. Do not speed. Be mindful of other drivers.

We all need to take care on the roads and watch out for all other drivers. Be safe out there everyone.
