***Daily Breakdown 04/03/2014***

Good morning! The sun is shining and it's almost Friday!!

WEATHER: We are going to have another beautiful day today. I think Mother Nature is spoiling us. We will see a high of 51 degrees and the sun will be shining for most of the day. Get outside and enjoy it!

TRAFFIC: Traffic is great on all major highways!

HEADLINES: The Public Utilities Commission is recommending that PSNH shut down it's power plants across the state and buy their power in the open market. They currently have a debt of $660 million with the three fossil fuel generators, nine hydroelectric plants, five combustion turbines, and a biomass plant. They are estimating the sale value for these plants to be $225 million which would leave $435 million in debt that they say the customers of PSNH should pay for. Martin Murray who is a spokesperson for PSNH said that they are being dismissive of the importance of the plants and that the data that they are looking at has so many variables that you cannot tell what is going to happen in the future. PSNH is going to do what is best for the customers.

Not much else happened yesterday other than that!

SPORTS: The Bruins lost to the Detroit Redwings last night 3-2 which gave the Redwings a playoff spot. The Bruins still currently have the most wins and the most points of any team in the NHL. The Red Sox came out to play in Baltimore yesterday, beating the Orioles 6-2 thanks in large part to homeruns by Big Papi and Mike Napoli.

CLOSURES: No closures are scheduled at this time. This weekend there may be some traffic delays as the Bagels and Biscuits 5K commences. They start at Derryfield Park at 9am. They will be running down Circular and Reservoir and through the North End of the Bridge Street neighborhood. Reservoir and Circular will be closed, Belmont off of Bridge will be restricted as will Smyth Road.
