This is a very serious and very scary message that I received tonight. Please take note of what is being said here and make sure that if you are in a similar situation you keep a cool head and call 911 immediately!!
"Hi there! I normally would never share personal things like this on such a large scale social media page, but I know you'll spread the word and prevent what could have been a much worse situation for me from happening to someone else. If possible, could this remain anonymous? I have a police report out, but I would prefer to not have this guy and girl one day recognize me and backlash. I got let out of work early from the hospital and was driving through Manchester when this happened around 12:30 am...
While driving home from work, my car was hit from behind while at a red light in Manchester. I put my car in park, opened the door and yelled out to the driver behind me "you just hit me!" To which he replied, "yeah I did.. Don't you wanna check out the damage?" As he yells this a woman in the car behind him jumps out and starts walking towards our cars. Immediately, I got the feeling this guy wanted me to get out of my car so he could rob/hurt me and yelled to the girl to call 911. I locked my door, called 911, and hoped the girl would take heed and get back into her car.
Well.. as I looked back through my mirror what do you know, but the girl two cars back hops into the driver side of the car that hit me, the guy starts quickly walking away, and the girl now driving the car that hit me, and someone now driving the girl's car- all speed away.
Please do not get out of your car for any man or woman if this happens to you. Lock the door and call 911 and wait. I normally wouldn't post things that happen to me on Facebook, but I would never forgive myself if I said nothing and someone ended up hurt by these people. "
If anything like this happens to you make sure that you take note of everything around you. Look at the person that is in the other car and remember what they are wearing. Look at the car to see if you can see the make or model. Try an memorize at least part of the license plates. Even small bits of information can lead to the bigger picture.

I don't get why they'd purposely hit you from behind; wouldn't that mean the "accident" was their fault? I'm glad situation did not escalate to anything worse. But, it's scary to think that you could've been hurt (or worse) by these goons. I also hate that they've now gotten away with damaging your car and don't have to pay for it.
ReplyDeleteThey purposely rear ended her to get her to get out of her car so they could rob her. I doubt people who were looking to rob a random woman would care about whose fault a fender bender was.
DeleteThis used to be a huge crime back in FL in the 80s. You get hit, get out, they Rob you or steal your car. Absolutely awful. Thanks for the heads up about it happening here, too.

ReplyDeleteTaking the keys with you isn't going to stop them from beating you up to get the keys and whatever else you may have with you.. Would you want to take that chance of getting who knows what done to you?? I would like to think not!

ReplyDeletePeoples comments are absolutely ridiculous! This person is warning you about something that could have been a lot worse if she wasn't smart enough to realize what was going on. And taking the keys out would not have done anything when they are trying to harm you or rob you! This is very common in other places where they hit you on purpose or make you hit them. All she is doing is giving people a heads up so this don't happen to anyone else and all you can do is blame her? I don't wish harm on anyone but if something happens to you don't say you were not warned!!! And I thank you to the writer of this post
ReplyDeleteI agree especially at that time of night. Stay in your car, take down license plate number and call police. People are desperate now. They may do crazy things just to rob you for a small amount of money.
